About Pulsarun
Pulsarun is the home of Wolf Gold: Totem Hunt, a small browser game made and maintained by one person.
Why this game exists
I wanted a runner you can play in a spare five minutes, with no install, no account and no shop sitting between you and the next run. Wolf Gold keeps the idea simple: run, read the trail, keep the chain alive. Everything that decides a run happens on screen.
Until September 2026 this domain hosted a short catalogue of reviews of Android wolf games. That catalogue has been retired, and the site is now the game itself.
How it is made
The game is written in plain JavaScript and drawn on an HTML canvas. The wolf, the totems, the hazards and the prairie in the game are all drawn in code, and the sounds are synthesised in the browser. The painted concept art on the home page shows how the world was first imagined; it is not a screenshot of the game.
The rules live in a separate module that runs without a browser. Before each release an automated runner plays thousands of metres on many different trails to check that every row of hazards has a way through and that every fork can be taken safely.
Points, not money
Wolf Gold has no bets, no prizes, no purchases and no virtual currency. Totems and multipliers exist only to build a score. Your best score stays in your own browser.
Who runs Pulsarun
Pulsarun is run by Willow Clarke, an individual based in South Australia, Australia. There is no company behind the site. Contact details are on the contact page.
